Years 1 & 2 had a very informative trip to the Living Rainforest on Thursday 10th November.
The children had a tour of the rainforest bringing together everything they have been learning in class. There were free roaming birds, lizards and butterflies and they saw monkeys, a toucan, an Azara Agouti (giant guinea pig to you and me!) poisonous blue frogs, and a bird eating spider. Unfortunately the sloth and Harry the armadillo were more elusive. The children also explored plant life and saw (and smelt) banana, coffee, cocoa, ginger and vanilla plants.
The day finished off with some fun in the playground.
