KS1 had a brilliant day at Claydon House last Friday to finish our Florence Nightingale topic and we really couldn’t have asked for better weather. We spent some time outside dressing up and being soldiers in the Crimean War and the children particularly loved charging at the teachers part! We visited the bedroom where Florence Nightingale stayed when she visited her sister and the children even got to lie on her bed. There was more role play involved with dressing up as soldiers and nurses in the hospital. We definitely have some budding actresses and actors in the class! All the children were so well behaved and we all enjoyed a wonderful historical day.
